After a Shorts Block screening of films with a strong female lead, which concluded with the fierce film When Kids Grow Up, an in-depth conversation was conducted with producer, Emily Wanserski and star Marissa Labog. The panel ventured into a multitude of topics which include: Labog's experience in the stunt community, the current climate surrounding female strength, and the importance of finding strength within yourself. Special guests: Inner Warrior Project with Lindsay De Aguila, Randee Brookins and Karina Munoz-Benalcazar
Carmichael Simon instructed enthusiastic participants as they explored the intricate and rhythmic movements of Tricking, a modern Martial Arts Dance form.
Tricking is a training discipline that combines kicks with flips and twists from gymnastics as well as many dance moves and styles from breakdancing. It aims to achieve an aesthetic display of different combinations of "tricks".
